Notes: The Rethinking Work 2004 Canadian Worker Survey comprises a random sample of 2002 individuals who are either employed, self-employed or unemployed (but have held a job at some point in the past 12 months), and is considered to be representative of the Canadian workforce. A sample of this size has a margin of error of up to +/- 2.2 per cent at a .05 confidence level (i.e., 19 times out of 20). Telephone interviews were conducted during September and October of 2004, and the response rate was 27 per cent.
