Notes: The Labour Force Survey is a household survey carried out on a monthly basis by Statistics Canada. The survey is conducted in over 52,000 households across Canada, resulting in the collection of labour force information of roughly 100,000 individuals. The LFS does not include individuals living in the Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, those residing on Indian reservations, hospitals, penitentiaries, long term care facilities or full time members of the armed forces. All told, these excluded groups represent less than two percent of the total Canadian population over the age of 15.
